Injured Officer Entitled to LEOFF II On-The-Job Injury 6-Month Benefit, Even Though His Time Off Was Not “Consecutive”

In Renton Police Guild, Arbitrator Gary Axon ordered the City of Renton to provide a full six months of on-the-job injury benefits to an injured officer who had returned to work between his initial injury and subsequent surgery. The Arbitrator was tasked with interpreting the word “consecutive” in the parties’ CBA.

Disability Reasonable Accommodation Table Expanded and Posted on Premium Website

Seattle CPI Maintains its 2% Pace, National Index Lags Behind

The recently released August CPI-W report shows the Seattle index continuing at the same level last report in the bi-monthly June report: 2.0%. As it has for some time, the All-Cities-W, as it has recently, continued to lag behind at 0.7%. This chart shows the two indices over the past 12 months.
